factory locker better than ARB locker???
factory locker better than ARB locker???
hi just bought a smashed truck for parts it has a factory diff lock in the rear is it better or as good as a ARB air locker or are they not much chop at all??
Re: factory locker better than ARB locker???
If you already have an airlocker stick with it.
If you dont, then the factory locker you got with the smashed truck will be better than the factory LSD...
They both have their failure points - air leaks or vacuum leaks.

Just put it in, you won't look back. Just check that all the dog gears and the locking gear doesn't have rounded edges, they should be square. If they are rounded it has difficulty staying looked or even going into lock. I had my gear re-built by a gear maker, it goes in and out as quick as an airlocker without the bloody aircompressor noise. Build some armour around the diaphragm housing to protect it as this is their weakest point.
