Engel- how to tell age from serial number ?

I'm looking at buying a 2nd hand engel, does anyone know how to tell the age of a unit from the serial number ? Obviously they have only changed appearance/ colour maybe twice that i know of, looking at a current style one but would like to know its age.
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.

Get the serial Number and Email Engel. They are very helpfull even when your not buying a new one from them.

I did that first but thought someone here might know how to tell.
