And make sure they have sufficient sized fittings (at least same or bigger than factory vent pipe) or they will cause excessive crank case pressure.

I love seeing the jap crap with there flash monza oil catch cans with big outlets on the rocker covers going to pissy 5/16 - 3/8 catch can fittings.

I use A race type Catch Can Its twin Baffled near the Top, I Have Removed the Filter , Never had aproblem with Oil Escaping

I still need to tee the drain into the turbo oil return line but will do that after I've emptied the temp bottle a few times first. The catch can is empty at the moment as the amount of oil I see coming out of it at times is too much to even worry about putting something in there to catch the oil from the air. i suppose you could put some steel wool in there with a magnet near the drain to catch any potential steel wool bits going into the sump.

It's rated oil breather hose, you can get it at Repco and most hose suppliers in varying sizes. Just ask for oil breather hose.

A lot of R&D has gone into them and they are designed for large (and expensive) engines. If your crank seal blows berfore the valve pops then it was probably home made from a used condom.

There have been no reports of the bypass valves failing to date. The filters should have a 1500+ hr lifespan.

If a filter does clog and you don't have a spare, you can remove the filter, and it will work like a catch can.

Well then you should fit a Provent. They have been around for a few years now - hundreds of thousands in use world wide. No problems to my knowledge.

Doesn't give an explicit internal pic, but it basically looks like a catch can inside. The tricky part is the filter element and the valves.
