Quick question. LC wheels on my Lux...

Post by dudley »

As above, I've got the chance to get some wheels and tyres cheap but not sure if they'll fit.

Is the stud pattern the same on a HJ47 troopie and a LN106 hilux?
Will 285/75's fit? 5 near new tyres on freshly powder-coated black sunnies for about $150...

Yes or no...

Cheers,

Pete

the rims should fit as I'm pretty sure the off set didn't change till the 80series. As for the 285/75s if you've had a lift they'll fit fine if not then the will scrub

Dudly- you've seen my truck running 285/75R16 with a 2+2" lift, and i STILL get scrubbing at full lock.

Your other issue may be the old 2.8D trying to push them- I had to drop my gears to 4.5:1 to get mine to hum along nicely and ive got the 1KZ under the bonnet!
