what is the best head gasket?

I have a 4.5lr 1fzfe and it is running between 14psi and 20psi . depending what I am doing .
I have been using factory head gaskits in the past but every 2-3 years it lets go so now it is time to fix it properly so I am going to get arp head bolts for and whant to fit a better head gaskit with it.
so what can i use felpro /acl or are the toyota ones the best to use.

Steel COMETIC ones are the best. Not sure on availability

Yep tiler toyota one's are the best off the shelf head gasket
go with head studs if you can get them

Toyota Head Gaskets are Prety good standard ones ,
But certainly Not the Best
ACL High performance are good ,If your driving up a Street and see a quilty Engine Builder stop and see him ,He'll beable to get a thicker one to extra Boost and stand up to more abuse,
Someone on here might Know someone in your area

thanks guys i will be trying to get a cometic as that is wat a lot of the engine builders have said to use but now i got to try and find were in qld I can get one.

What about a once off machine of the head to put an O ring groove in ext to the comb chamber. Use copper ring when assembling to seal.

I tryed a copper head gasket on my last engine and it didnt like being parked up for 3 months at a time between comps and the coolant would leek out from under it.
so it is time to give the cometic gasket a go if I can get one

Coolent Goes acidic after afew weeks of sitting and rotts its way through the Brass
If you liked the Brass Headgasket you could use Organic coolent it wont go Acidic

Its not necessarily a copper head gasket but copper is best with correct coolant and sealer.. Its a ring around comb chamber that gives a better seal.

Why not O Ring the block.
Get a groove machined and tap in a hardened wire ring.
Used to do these on the little E15ET motors in the turbo ET / pulsar. I've put 18PSI into them stock and seen up to 38PSI going into them with different pistons / rods / crank.
