What`s the CR on a 4BD1 ? Did Izuzu alter the CR when they turboed it?

When guys add a turbo themselves do they alter CR?

As Ben said, 17:1 for both.

No need to alter CR.

I'm not sure at what year the N.A. engine had alfin pistons. There is no reason to use anything else than the stock Isuzu alfin pistons.

The 4BD1T engine will operated happily with quite high boost pressure. You might like to change from stock head bolts to after market studs if you plan to use more than 40 psi.
