very bumpy shorty

Post by grover »

I have a shorty gq with tough dog springs in it that i believe are designed for a wagon. handles like a go kart, has great articulation but is rough as on the road. has anyone got a shorty that rides smooth? if so what springs?

I'd say some SWB applicable coils would be the go.

Suspension stuff Flexi Coils in my cut down Shorty, work great, and not ruff at all.

I rang them and spent some time on the Phone, telling them what i had on it, and it's Fighting weight.

These Coils are perfect for me, as i can't afford Coil overs :D

Yeah a mate of mine bought his shorty and it rode like it had leaf springs. He bought a set of dobinson 2inch and compared the two sets, same length but half as thick again in diameter of the thickness. Anyway he chucked em in and now it rides great and flexes pretty well too. Only thing is it lowered it about an inch and a half, haha.
