I know this question may have been covered about 1 million times befor,
i have used search to no avail.
I have seen a lot of ute chops and the pics do look nice,
I am after some info on how to do this, i am unsure of the requirements that engineers want, and i have spoken to a few (of thos rude bastards) engineers.
No one can tell me how they would like the chop done.
I was considering using a swb body as it has more strength in the B piller/Quarter panel, i was going to use the back panels from a gq ute and graft these in.
If some one has pics of the iside of a gq chop or if any 1 is willing to offer assistance it would be greatly appreciated

Another Wagon Chop Question
there is some info on this forum about wagon chops
one has only just been completed, but the cost was the 7.5k mark
from memory his name was garth,do a search youll find info on it
there are many different ways of doin them
only problem with doin a swb modification is u have to extend the sills and floor area (if u wanted to ,have seen ones that havent)and extend the roof section
the roof section to that point on a swb is taller than the wagon at the same point
do a lot of searches ring alot of people
unless your capable pay someone,but steer clear of the cheaper conversions

Yeah i know what you mean by the sill panels, but you could do a "project shute" build and meet the b pillar and whel arch up,
I shall do a little bit more investigating!

dont know who owns or owned it ,but there is alot better than that around

IMO the SWB with roof extensions and finished of with a half type rear wheel arch kinda look half done,mite look alright on a swb but on a lwb/wagon chassis took fuggin terrible
im doin one here at the moment which is a combination of a SWB roof and b pillar on a LWB floor and sill section joined threw the windscreen pillars
itll be an extra cab ute when finished
cab will have 500mm behind seats when finished
