Group buy: Pitbull tyres

Post by Army_Barbie »

Hi everyone :)

I thought i would start this thread because I have found a dealer on the sunshine coast (QLD) who will import pitbull tyres for us!

for those that don't know.. Pitbull tyres are loved my heeaps of 4wders and Jeepers in the states but due to the lack of importers in AUS
Pitbull Rocker Extreme tires designed for true Off-Road fanatics who like to Tear It Up TM. Our Tires kick ass...period!!! Don't believe us...REALLY...don't. We're not going to tell all of our secrets so our competition won't find out why our tires work so well. Pit Bull Tires® have many distinguishing features that are proprietary. Our tires bite hard, flex, make less noise and offer a nice ride on the road...if that matters to you.
Pitbull tires make three tires available to the 4x4 market.

Pitbull Growlers

and Pitbull Maddogs
Image
http://www.offroaders.com/tech/AT-MT-Ti ... dog_MT.htm

All three types have been rated great on rock, sand, snow, mud, whatever you want to throw at them!
These tyres come in radial and bias and the size variation is great!
Check out this link for sizes (including true size measurements!!)
http://www.pitbulltires.com/downloads/PBSPEC2.pdf

if you want any more info on any of the tyres, do a google search, you'll find some nothing but great reviews and feedback about the tyres!

Now, the plan is, if i can get enough people interested, we can get a container and all save huge $$ on freight.
to be in this great deal, all you need to do is let me know what tyres/sizes/how many/bias or radial, i can add you to the list.
When we reach a final list of people who are definately keen, half a deposit of the tyres needs to be paid (straight to the company - so u wont have to worry about me doing a runner :p ) to lock in your space in the container and then it will be all go from there!
Obviously this is a long process so don't feel like you're going to miss out cos you don't have the money in the account right now!

if anyone has any questions, please, send me a pm and i can do my best to answer :D i think thats all for now, if i think of more, i'll add.

im not asking for commitment yet or money to be forked out. im asking for interest. obviously the price is going to be cheaper if 50 people want to order instead of 5.

i'm getting prices for 10 people at the moment, all wanting a few prices for each tyre, size etc. im waiting on the distributor to forward me through some prices, straight from the US.

Correct.
But you will get 50 people "YEA YEA YEA GIMME 10 OF EM", and in the end you will get 5 people. its a PITA.

Having run a few 'bulk buys' without price, people will show interest - better known as Tyre Kickers.

Once you have your price for 10 (33/35/37 in 15/16/17inch rim) Post it up.

Then as soon as someone says "yes I'm interested" - get a 75% non refundable deposit (refundable if the whole deal falls through but not refundable if you change your mind)otherwise, you will get let down as will everyone else who is counting on them for that amount required for the discount. Its happened before.

Once you get a price, people will be able to show interest. EG: without knowing if it is 200 per tyre landed and delivered, or 500 per tyre landed and delivered I wouldnt want to put my hand up.

There are plent of tyres on the market, that may do the same job for cheaper..

What about delivery/freight? Your in Brissy, Im in Melb, others Perth, you need to work that out too.

But for interest, I maybe interested depending on price and sizes available.

Good luck and  for having a go.

should hear from the US mid week with prices for all tyres, from smallest-39" radial and bias so keep tuned. if anyone is after bigger tyres, let me know and i'll get you a price. i've written down what everyone is after so once i've got a pricelist, i'll pm you all with prices.

I'm not doing this to make any profit at all!! i'm just a really keen 4wder, wanting to help people get a good deal so i can assure you that the prices i get, will be the cheapest possible coming direct from the states

I heard from the distributor today who said that because this is going to be such a large, time consuming order, payment will need to be make in full, before the order is made. but again, this won't be for a while-ish yet, so start saving

I ran them on my patrol for a while, they were very noisy, drove and wore ok, but werent a great road tyre, worked ok off road, but they werent a swamper off road.

Seems they were a bit of everything.

Didnt flat spot to bad overnight to bad either.

I had 39.5 x 16.5 17's on 17 x 10 Allied rims.
