My Rocky's For Sale - 1993 Turbo

Post by HotFourOk »

Hey everyone,

It's come to that time where my beloved Rock has to go.

I've started doing 700+km a week and needed a ute for work, so bought a TD Hilux.

A lot of you may know my car, but if not here are some details.

It was featured in Australian 4WD Action Custom Guide last year.

Up for sale is my 93 Rocky Turbo. The 2.8L Intercooled TD is a bulletproof motor that makes a lot of power for its time. I have owned it for over 4 years and it has been meticulously looked after with services every 5000km and lots of TLC.

It has been modified somewhat for 4wding purposes but never been subjected to any hard offroad work. It featured in Australian 4WD Action Custom Guide last year, as there is not many Rocky's like this one!

It is a great car for anyone getting into 4WDing as they are the toughest little truck around and this one gains much respect when out on the tracks, looking great and performing better.

Even if you don't like 4x4ing, it is a great car to run around town in. It is very easy to park being a SWB and is very fuel efficient (10L/100km).

I know I will forget things, but here goes:

1993 Daihatsu Rocky RV Turbo Intercooled
2.8L Turbo Diesel Intercooled DL-52

Hey,

Thanks for the help, but she's now sold...

Yes, it's IFS and I made the snorkel myself.
PM me if you want any more info about it, I'd be glad to help.

Stockton was always a blast in the old girl... the snorkel and exhaust made it a MUCH better car up those big dunes! I miss the nice noises it used to make...
