Need input with gps and ground anchor. Please help

Post by Diepawsey »

I am looking at competing in a winch comp later this year and I will require a gps??? And a ground anchor.

I bassically need to know where do I buy a gps from and which are the best? I'm kinda confused about the gps. As I don't really know what I'm looking for. My guess is that it needs to be one where you plot points like a boat offsure one? Not a highway for road use

And where do I buy a ground anchor from and which ones are the best and how much should I expect to pay? Or do I make my own? If its best to make my own how do I go about it.

any input would be greatly appreciated

The FX324 were all the rage a while back .... Notebooks are being used now – depends what you like and how deep your pockets are.

As for a ground anchor – again personal preference. Many make their own – or you can purchase the Ground Grabber which is one of the better ones – it will cost you $440 plus $30 freight to Rocky.

Always do a search too, you will mostly find what you are after...
