cut spring perches off and move them, the side closest to the pumkin will need to be either notched or modified. A custom ubolt on the side closest to the pumpkin.

i thought you had a coiled front on your troopy ? or is this another project?

I think thats only for the front diff. The rear is just a matter of moving the perches.

may be doing something low,wide and locked to compete in

i have spent to much on the troopy but would like to do something for the few local comps we have - tralier queen

was think along these lines (remember is just a budget hack to get involved)

75 series
60s diff SUA lokkers and longs
piss the tray and guards off to get the tyres in
biggest tyres allowed i our comps
will only spend alittle on the suspention to get it moving abit
then get the gearing right and a cage
try not to come dead last - but aleast im in

maybe you could buy some 105 series diffs and put some leaf spring perchs on them
i did see once on ih8mud pics of a 45 series ute and some one put 105 series diffs converted to leaf under it for wide stance

i've got 60 diffs under my 40 (front spring perch problem is the same for both). i didn't do the fab work. but if i were to have to do them, i would throw a 60 diff housing under the rear (perches are easy to move), and go IFS hubs on the front (giving the same width increase as a 60 diff would).

much easier way to do it in my opinion. or just get some stupid offset rims (wheel works will cut and flip them for you), if it's a trailer queen, you don't need to worry too much about the extra load on the wheel bearings.

nah 105's are solid, 100's are IFS. There was a FJ45 on ebay a little while back riding on 105 diffs front and rear with leaves, was FAT, and yes all are 5 stud.

if your going to go to the effort and $$$ of 105/80 series diffs... why wouldn't you go coil as well?

you can use 80 series bits to get the 6stud

no you can't because 80 series aren't IFS.

when they talk "ifs" hubs, they mean IFS HILUX/4 runner/surfs, which are 6 stud.
