I think thats only for the front diff. The rear is just a matter of moving the perches.Z()LTAN wrote:cut spring perches off and move them, the side closest to the pumkin will need to be either notched or modified. A custom ubolt on the side closest to the pumpkin.

i have spent to much on the troopy but would like to do something for the few local comps we have - tralier queen
was think along these lines (remember is just a budget hack to get involved)
75 series
60s diff SUA lokkers and longs
piss the tray and guards off to get the tyres in
biggest tyres allowed i our comps
will only spend alittle on the suspention to get it moving abit
then get the gearing right and a cage
try not to come dead last - but aleast im in

i've got 60 diffs under my 40 (front spring perch problem is the same for both). i didn't do the fab work. but if i were to have to do them, i would throw a 60 diff housing under the rear (perches are easy to move), and go IFS hubs on the front (giving the same width increase as a 60 diff would).
much easier way to do it in my opinion. or just get some stupid offset rims (wheel works will cut and flip them for you), if it's a trailer queen, you don't need to worry too much about the extra load on the wheel bearings.

If you had IFS hubs on the front. wouldn't you then have 5 stud front and 6 rear? when they talk "ifs" hubs, they mean IFS HILUX/4 runner/surfs, which are 6 stud.
