How tough are the heavy duty rhino racks on a 100 series cruiser?
I am thinking 2 for the rear to attach a roof top tent (45ish kgs) which I know will be fine, but what about when u add me and the missus (150ish plus 45ish say 200kgs)?
They look solid enough to me...

100 series Rhino heavy duty roof racks, How strong?
Moderators: toaddog, Elmo, DUDELUX
Their commercial bars are very strong and of a good extrusion.
The real issue is how they connect to the vehicle, is it strong enough at that point.
On the 4 Runner the rails for connecting to the car are riveted to the roof, when I carried a spare on the rack it cracked the roof turret between rivets and rattled/bounced.
Was good for all other purposes, camping gear, chairs, etc, the spare was simply too heavy at one end of the bars and over rough conditions.
Cheers
