TD42 into my 98 gu 4.5

I have a 88 Td42 5speed gq ute in the shed and i have a gu TI 4.5 petrol auto. Is there anyone is has done a conversion before that can give me advise with cost and things to look out for. Im aware i need to buy a gu 5 speed, but does it have to be a td42 one etc.

GU TB/TD gearboxes are the same. or you could use the auto behind the TD42 if you wanted too.
