Importance of gearing with bigger tyres

Post by MARKx4 »

I had a 1988 GQ TB42 with 33s for a while with standard 4.1 gears and didnt think much of changing the gear ratios... I have borrowed my father in laws maverick for a couple of days which is a very tidy rig TB42 aswell, only has 80,000ks on the clock and i completly forgot how much power the 33s took to turn with wrong gearing.

So in this little rant i guess im trying to say if you put bigger tyres on your GQ make sure you do the gears if you can afford it as the difference is amasing.

Mark.
Its not cool, unless it's got boost :)
