hay all im thinking off makeing a tube bar for the front off my 80 series and was just wondering what thicness plat to use for the winch cradle and thicness tube to use (useing 3in pipe)

I would use 4mm plate with suitable gussets for the cradle.

But a lot of people would probably recommend 6mm.


If you are bending the tube it will probably need to be a minimum 4mm thick in 3" diameter.

Mine is 4mm cradle with 2" x 4mm bent tube and it doesn't budge for anything.

Just my thoughts.

I would most likley buy one on the Warn winch plate thingamjiggers ...
