Mates 12ht 60 series auto box won't go Into overdrive is this common problem?? What is cause fix for this

whats the quality of the fluid and filter like
LN106 1uzfe - 33's - crawlers - locker
HJ61 Sprung over -20psi - 35's - dual locked

no idea have told him to do an oil change on it... it seems to be a intermittent thing...
