Nafta Performance chips

Post by Kal Ranger »

Has anybody fitted one of these chips to their deisel or have a review on them. I got quoted $600+gst which is half the cost of the most popular brands I have looked at.

I've never heard of them, I'm not keen on twist the knob chips myself. The Rapid chips we use allow us to custom tune for optimum power vs EGT. Many of these late engine don't have the air flow at gigh rpm to keep the temps down, with the Rapid we are able to set not just the amount of fuel but the ramp in rate and comence point, also the ramp out rate and point.
These new engine run much higher EGT's than the old days, they have to run hot enough to light off the catalytic converter. I've measured 700 degrees between the cat and the turbo on a stock 3.0L GU under load for just 60 seconds.
