Turbo or a Supercharger

Post by Jaido »

alright, im chasing everyones opion here.

i want some more power(therefore should get a turbo).
some people have told me i should go source out a supercharger because i have extractors.
And taking the extractors off for a turbo.
'i wont gain much power' one person told me.

and some others have told me. get a turbo because extractors do fwark all.

turbo would be good because everyone does them, there easy to do.

but supercharged would be sweet coz i would have that constant power there, wont have any lag like a turbo.

Engine is a 4.2L petrol/gas Carby. and just been rebuilt ~ 10 000ks ago

Do us all a favor and slap this shit out of that person when you see them next.

A turbo even at a very easy tune will give about 300% more power than extractors will...

Extractors allow the engine to rev better as the tuned lengths on the manifold stop the engine creating excess back pressure at higher revs. As far as max power is concerned it will be marginal, the torque curve will be sooner and steeper is all.

This turbo/SC topic has been done to death mate...

Turbo it.
