I use 1.6mm zink.

The smallest thickness i've seen was 1.2mm and had good results. I had a mate use 2mm but he reckons that was overkill. Personally i would go 1.6mm

Was told by the engineer it had to be the same thickness as the car, 1.6 mm, I used what was left of the roof for the bottom half and 1.6 mm for the rest

I did one with 2mm, because I had some, it was too hard to work with.

thanks guys i done the chop a while back and i used hot rolled 1.6mm and wasn't happy with it and the way the chopped turned out the extra cab part was to big for my liking so ive given it abit of a hair cut and shortern it so the way i like it and now going to use the zinc 1.2 or 1.6 sheet depends what they have down at the shop on the day
