Grade or Shear modulus of OME coil steel

Post by PCRman »

As above. Any of our metallurgy buffs know what grade (ASTM SAE etc) steel OME use for their coil springs. Or what the Shear Modulus is (I get between 50 and 70 GPa)
Cheers

Edit: Before I get beaten around the head by said buffs I'm wondering if shot peening and scragging will change the numbers from standard.

Give a man a fire and he's warm for the day, but set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life
