Which winch rope?

Post by Jimbo »

Hello all,

I have decided to go all out and get some synthetic winch rope now that my current cable is stuffed.

Looking on Suspension Stuff website there are 3 options.

Tigerz11 synthetic 10mm winch rope

Tigerz11 Dyneena SK75 10mm Rope

Tigerz11 Dyneena SK75 9mm Rope

They are all a similar price (give or take $30) so i'm not exactly sure which one to get for my Gq Wagon with a TJM 10,000 lb winch. Do i need 10mm rope? I dont use my winch much but handy to have it!

Cheers

Hi there James,

Yes I would definitely go 10mm rope with your 10000lb winch.

Even though you say you don’t use it much, you will love it when you do. Nice and light and very easy to handle. You’ll wonder why you didn’t buy some a long time ago..

Cheers

Had my Tigerx11 winch a few years and used it a fair bit and yes the rope does get a bit fluffy but personally for the price it is great and mine doesn't even look close to breaking.Go the Tigerz11 with 10mm winch rope for the price youll be more than happy just look after it.
