GU rear axle question

Does anyone know the differences in GU rear axles. I think I have a series 1 (same diff centre as GQ) semi-floating diff. But the auto wrecker keeps asking if its petrol of deisel. Does it matter??

there are different ratios and also different model diffs in the GU Wagon

H233B and H260 diff housings [small and big]

3.5, 3.9, 4.1, 4.3 and 4.6 ratios

Have a look on your plaque bottom right hand corner for your ratios. Plaque is on the firewall drivers side. And as stated a couple of gu wagons came with different size diffs so tell them year and motor aswell as ratios.
