Anyone put 60/75 series axles under a hilux and kept leafs

Post by SIMMO84 »

Kind of going on from my last topic, Looking for strength in a hilux. I was thinking 60 or 75 series axles and transfer case along with a V8 and auto. Keeping my leaves and standard LOA setup. Coils would be an option later on but Im keen just to get this thing back on the tracks.
I have had a quick measurement and it looks like the hilux chassis is about 50mm narrower on the front than a 75.
So let me know your thoughts and previous knowledge will be great aswell.

you might have to check the spring perch in on the front right a little bit, other than that it would be easy enough, 60 series diff would be the go cos they are wider than the 70 series. Either way your thing will still end up on its lid :finger:

Haha, I was under a 75 the other day and that perch was the only thing I could think of that would cause problems. The 75 axles dont seem to be much wider than hilux anyway.
