Measuring length of shockies, where to where?

Hey guys,

Where do you measure from to get the length of shockies, for eye to eye shockies and pin to pin type shockies?
GQ Patrol Wagon, 6 point roll cage
351 cleveland, CHI heads, solid cam, Funnelweb single plane, 750 HP DP

For eye /eye shocks - centre of eye to centre of eye
For pin /pin shocks - base of pin to base of pin, basically where the first washer goes
