Post by Guy »

Nl pajero
I have been lead to belive that the rear spekers can be swapped with a set of 6x9's without to much hassle is this true ? what about the fronts ..are they justa standard 6 inch ( i am sure I have an old set of sony split's somewhere in my pikle of stuff I have accumulated becasue the price was good and it may be useful at some point)
I am not after anything earth shattering, I have my old rockford fosgate amp I can hook up to drive em properly..

So help please folks I dont really want to have to pull it apart to find out either.

Yeps, 6x9's will fit in the rear. how well they sit in will depend on the speakers. Mine didn't fit in properly, but i just left it protruding and when I put the plastic on you couldn't notice.

For the front I managed to fit 6.5 in the doors but it wasn't easy.

Hope this helps

I installed 6 inch splits in the front doors of my NL without any trouble (I mounted the tweeters in the speaker holes in the dash to completely hide the install.

My NG Paj has some 6x9s in a box which is screwed in on either side of the back door- no issues there. In the front I have some 6.5" splits. These speakers are all connected to a 4x52w amp. It's not your top of the line $10,000 audio system, but it is certainly loud/clear enough to make me go temporarily deaf!
