Hi all
I have a hj 47 ute and the the 2h is getting a little tired. I am considering a 12ht, but was told that it was a hassle electrically as the 12ht is computerised and the easiest way is to use the wiring loom of a 61. Does anyone know if this is the case and in particular has anyone done this conversion; - and if so how do you do it and how much trouble is it?

I'd rather be biologically honest, than politically correct.

If the 12HT is computerised, I would hate to think what these guys would say about a 1HDFTE LOL.Bearded1 wrote:Hi all

The 12HT most definantly is not computerised. It will run with no wires attached at all!
2H and 12HT blocks are virtually identical. Will bolt straight in.
Intake and exhaust are different (because of turbo and different head).
Need to hookup the EDIC motor, and the glow screen, although the glow screen not needed unless your running down near 0 degrees.

2h has the edic not the 12ht, 12ht uses a butterfly to shut off the motor i am fairly certain, but definitely no edic.
12ht being dropped into where a 2h was requires one additional wire to be run(to accessory i think but cannot remember) for said butterfly
however, i know that the information about the wire to be connected is on outers as that is where i was reading it, when i was asking about the 12ht conversion a long time ago. i really wish i kept my 12ht 60..... now i want a 12ht in my 75 and ill have to buy it al over again....
