I am looking at putting a blower on my uterus , my brother has just put one on his shorty gq and it runs realy well , all we know about the turbo is that it is a perkins garret off a garbage truck. I want to get one for my car as it was compatible with the dynamic turbo and its slighlty larger hence making the car go slightly better
Does anyone know wher I can get some ID numbers or something to identify the turbo in question , no one I talked to knows

There are two infinates in life , The universe and Patrols!
Well, blower usually refers to superchargers when they are used on 2 stroke diesels - which require them to run.
I take it u are after a turbo, seing as it is a garret, and compatible with the dynamic kit - i assume that means it will fit on the dynamic turbo manifolds.
You could find out through dynamic what size turbo they used on the patrol kit and then they may be able to tell you what other ones will fit in place of it.
As far as size goes there are lots of different combinations that can be had and put together, different housings, hi flow work, compressor size turbine size, air ratio blah blah blah! - all changing the efficiency curves for different airflows - power at certain rpm etc.
But big doesn't always mean it will be better, will take longer to spool up and may not have as much bottom end as a more suitably sized one?
But if you are absolutely happy with how your brothers car goes you could have a good look at the turbo, there should be numbers cast into the exhaust and intake housings such as 'Garret T04' 'A/R 0.67', there could be an i.d. plate riveted to it also, write all these numbers down and call a garret dealer.
Hope that helps
Mick
