I think Aza is looking for Final Crawl ratio's

Mine is currently at 83.76:1

And will shortly be at 118.29:1

And you can work out your Crawl ratio here- http://www.marlincrawler.com/java/getratio_calc.html

Running an auto so its about 38:1 with 3.54 diffs and a maxidrive 30%reduction in the t/case. If you take into account the torque multiplication of the auto it works out to be 76:1 (assuming TC = 2x). The torque multiplication of the TC is pretty contentious though and certainly doesn't help me crawl down hills more slowly.

ATM I have 93.5 to 1

Am thinking about putting in a 2nd T case while doing the motor conversion as I have to change the shaft lenghts anyway. If I do decide on a 2nd case then I`ll have 213 to 1

Im running around 95:1 marlin adaptor.

Thinking next mod to be a Dyna gear box it has a 5.15 first and i would like to run 4.88 in the rear tranny that should give me around 275:1

only reason running so low is to match the winch speed with a pully or two on the line(wheels at same speed as the winch on rough going)

Ford truck gearbox 6.55 :1 1st gear x 2.88:1 low range X 2.57:1 crawler box X
3.54 :1 ring and pinion X 1.56:1 portal axles. I think it works out at
278:1.

I think I am just over 60:1 and with that gearing can't really see what you guys want massive ratios for :? And by massive, I mean 150 +

I am turning 38s and I have no hassles crawling most shit.

Can anyone tell me why they need 200:1 ? Or is it just wank factor ?

Absolute Wank Factor.

Only reason im going to end up at 118 is because im fitting a rover transfer behind my hilux low range box. So i will end up still with dual cases but the second case will be rover with a 3.22 low and a 1.4 high range reduction. I will then also have the ability of drive to the front wheels only.

Im running 4.1 Diff gears

There is an old saying that goes. IF YOU HAVE TO ASK WHY, THEN YOU PROBABLY WOULD NOT UNDERSTAND ANYHOW !
WHY DOES THE MOST CREDIBLE 4WD EVER MADE (UNIMOG) HAVE OPTIONAL GEAR RATIOS AS LOW AS 4000 :1? I AM SURE THAT VEHICLES DESIGNERS AREN'T WANKERS. BILL.

I totaly understand why a vehicle that could weigh 10+ton would have a use for this but there is no reason for a vehicle that weighs a fracton of this and was not designed to carry huge loads will ever need it. If you can find something that an average weight rig with 200+:1 can drive that a vehicle with 100:1 cant drive i would be impressed.

Its not cheap. First you need to buy a Dual case adapter to suit the Hilux then you need to build an adapter from this and also get a spud shaft made. Im a little worried about the course spline input on the LT230. Will just see how it goes. May need to modify this as well if it doesnt hold up.

It is relatively cheap for me as i allready have the Dual case adapter and the LT230 with a 1.4 High Range and can make everything else except the spud shaft wich i will prob get Macnamara to make. The hilux second case is just not holding up behind the 3.9disco motor well.

thats what i think i will have, at this point i am about 90.1 with rear discounnect but due to the extra lenght cant fit the dualcase. When the rear disconnect brakes i will fit the dualcase. I currently have the AA 4.7 reduction.
