NSW vs QLD W'pecker UPDATE: Changed to City vs Country

Post by Hiluxguy »

From the people who brought you woodpecker city v's country now comes nsw v's qld. Its an all natural course in which mother nature has thrown her hardest.

This comp will be for the best 6 cars from each state battleing for the title of toughest state. What we are looking for is an expression of intrest from teams. There may be space for more entrants depending on demand.

The comp will be held on the 11th and 12th of september and should be a great weekend. It will run under normal woodpecker rules

So come on nsw lets show these queenslanders what we have got

How much are we talkng for the entry fees
being woodpecker rules I'm guessing teams of 2 cars then. If so do the cars need to be part of the same club or can anyone team up together

great idea but
Hell Raiser 4 seat social buggy..

The usual Woodpecker rules have 2 vehicles per team. I know we will have enough NSW competitors however it depends on how many Cane toads are capable enough to attend the event. Hopefully they won't fall to pieces on the way down to Mudgee. It all depends on QLD, on how many teams from each state will verse each other.

To run the event we will go with 6 x 2 teams from each State. I would like to see 12 x 2 teams; however once again it depends on how many cane toads want to make the long journey.

I came back from Kingaroy QLD from visiting relations last Xmas (Please Note- The relos were originally from NSW) along the Pilliga Hwy to Dubbo then Mudgee. This was not a bad run however it maybe for Cane toads because they are little bit behind & they more than likely still believe in the Pilliga Yowie.

We have not worked out a price yet. City v Country is $200 per vehicle, so we may be a little higher pending on how many want to compete.

Yes, it will be 2 cars per team & the rules will be the same as previous Woodpecker events & the new City v Country event. You don't have to be in the same Club to compete as a team of two.

Thanks.

You maybe correct, if we could get at least 6 then I think we could make a go of it. Previous Woodpeckers we used get 4 cars from QLD including the Mog Rover & Mog 45.
