Hi guys,
I own a gq lwb 4.2 efi wagon. Its dual fuel and I'm havin trouble with the gas idling. It starts fine on both petrol and gas, drives fine on both but wont idle on gas. It struggles to rev at bout 200 rpm then stalls. Any help would be great. Can you turn the idle screw up. Its a gas convertor set up.
Also do people like procomps on the patrols? Are they too soft to control the vehicle when loaded up? Ive heard good reports on them but just wondering if I should go for a harder shock. I want to get a 3 inch lift.
Thanks

Procomp Shocks and gas issues
Re: Procomp Shocks and gas issues
Hey mate
I also run gas and fuel on my patrol, and have had the same problem. Gas is very tempremental with too much air being sucked in etc. There is a little hose on myne just in front of the airbox that plugs onto a fitting that's on the snorkel pipe/ induction pipe into the airbox. It's pretty easy for it too pop off and when it does exactly as you says is happening happens to myne. Just check all little hoses like that and check they are all connected.
As for pro comp shocks I'm getting some in a few weeks to replace
my tough dogs, heard good reports particulary with the heavy duty dobi son coils which I run.

Re: Procomp Shocks and gas issues
Cheers thanks heaps for that, I'm guessing thats the one because its 4.2 efi, the fitting broke off the air intake pipe and I havent done anythin bout it so i'll fix it and c if it works.
Thanks again
RE the procomps, do ya reckon they will be good when its all loaded up for holidaying?

Yeah that's the one maye I'd say that's the problem.
With the shocks they are apparently pretty soft but im not speaking from first hand experience best to ask someone else.
