Peoples thoughts on my situation with my 3.0ltr

Post by LINKIN »

I have blown the head gasket in my 94 gls, Am thinking it will be more econimical to buy a low km engine then to get the heads done (has 280k on it). What are the timing belt intervals on a 3.0ltr? what sort of $ is reasonable for a second hand motor?
Thanks for any advice

Benny. Please. There are currently two topics discussing motor replacement on the front page of the Mitsubishi forum.

As for belt intervals, every 100k km. It's generally considered a good idea to replace the water pump at the same time.

I'd throw another engine. If you shopped around, you'd get one cheap enough. and those japanese take good care of their cars, 99% haven't even seen dirt lol

I'd shop around.

Take care of your engine and it'll last forever.
