Post by TOY-08V »

Sure its not just "diesel knock"? Pretty common for diesels when they are cold.

its just what they do mate. ive had my 1hz fully rebuilt done just clicked over 10 000kms. made a rattly noise on start up after 335 000 and makes the exactly the same noise now lol. dont stress. id say its because of the oil being so thick when its cold. i dunno :?

It could be a timing problem related to the cold start device (acsd) on the injector pump. Easiest way is to remove it and install a plate over the hole. It doesn't get cold enough here to need one.
The worst part about being told you have Alzheimer's, is that it doesn't just happen once.
