Try Sheety (MR Sheetmetal - Nambour) on 07 5441 6099 (Michael) or Les from BATC 3890 4211 - Tingalpa.

Have you checked the wreckers for a box from a different vehicle - makes it easier to find standard filters in the future.

my bloody camera is getting repaired. get a vs series 2 upper box, and a vn lower box, mount it on its side, block off the inlet, buy a vn removable outlet, and screw it to the inlet side, then you have a 3" inlet wherever you want it for the snorkle, and a smooth upper vs v8 outlet to the throttle body. maybe even a vs series 3 top box may fit better, you just have to look at them all to work it out. fit a good air filter, and you will have no probs. my bro made over 300kw at the wheels, with a good filter, and no difference without it.

Could also check out a Donaldsons cataloge. Was talking to cheezy about this a couple of weeks ago. I have also seen a 80series toy aircleaner mounted in the rear passenger side of the engine bay (was a turbo tb42). This might be a good option, also the filters are pretty cheap.
