What's your vehicle usage? I have a mate who's done some big miles with his Sprintex charger and he loves it! Especially for towing, and he reckons that it's just an all-round easier vehicle to drive. Particularly on longer trips.
Not quite sure if they're worth the money if you're just going to be doing stuff like rock crawling though, I'd be going for gearing before power in that situation...Horses for courses and such.

I saw one a few weeks back, very clean install. All brackets are CNC machined and finished to a very high quality.
Kit comes with absolutely everything you need.
Only issue i could see was the inability to change pipework and add an inter cooler.
This though may change in time.
Relatively cheap too!

20% better on average when normal driving. But boot it and it will ment your credit card. Its all to do with throttle position. Less throttl position to do the same job

most people say you can get a turbo boosting at low revs on a 1fz making the difference negligable.
Personally though I'd prefer a supercharger because I think it looks neater in the engine bay, and it's easier to run a standard extractor manifold and exhaust. The only downside is it's a bit noiser than a turbo.
The worst part about being told you have Alzheimer's, is that it doesn't just happen once.

Sprintex was the originator and designer of the twin screw supercharger. This was licensed to A few companies such as Opcom, Autorotor and they sold cores to Whipple in the states. Whipple couldnt get enough of them so started making them inhouse (and has been in litigation ever since). Sprintex still own the twin screw patents but whipple changed the design to avoid the majority of the law suits. The one Bullet cars makes for the 4.5L cruiser is a 1.6L version. The one above is a 2L version and i have a 2.8L version on a 408 stroker in my GTO Monaro (870hp). I hope to get the 4L version to play with later on a 440ci LSX for around 1400hp.

Heinrich's was slightly different type being 2 lobe. Lysholm used the sprintex design and sold it to Whipple too although the court cases are ongoing as they all claim to have the patents and the others used their designs etcv840 wrote:Wasn't Heinrich Krigar the originator of the twin-screw charger? In 1987, Art Whipple got the performance bug again and decided to get back into the performance industry with some new technology. After countless hours of research, Art found a company located in Australia named Sprintex. Whipple quickly adapted their unique “twin-screw” supercharger to his own personal 1988 Chevrolet Silverado. Within a few months, Whipple Superchargers became the exclusive distributor of the Sprintex Supercharger.
In 1991, Whipple Superchargers found a Swedish company named Opcon Autorotor. Until this time, Sprintex was the only manufacturer of the twin-screw type supercharger, but Autorotor, a sister company of the pioneering company Svenska Rotor Maskiner (SRM) had a larger variety of sizes to choose from and later generation rotor technology. By this time, the screw compressor had become commonly known as the “Whipple Charger” and quickly became a must have item for performance enthusiasts.
After Autorotor and SRM split, Whipple decided to stay with SRM and their newly formed company Lysholm Technologies. This relationship worked out very well and led to many successful twin-screw applications. With the partnership of Eaton Corporation, the Lysholm compressor made tremendous strides in dependability and performance. In 2004, the Lysholm/Eaton screw compressor was utilized on the Ford GT super car and Mercury Racing High Performance engines, a first for Lysholm.
