t 5 gear box

Post by Rhett »

I have recently installed a t5 from a 83-84 cherokee into a cj6. Behind a injected 250 crossflow. It is then mated up to a dana transfer. After the installation the gearbox was found to be noisey. After inspection it is not worth rebuilding. Now the question is are the output shafts the same in all t5s? to match up with the transfer. The input dosn't really matter as it can just get a different cluch plate. Or if the out puts are different are they interchangeable?
Cheers Rhett.

The World Class T5 is what we are use to seeing in Australia had much stronger internals, the T5 found in Jeeps is a standard T5 and are noisy and dont like high torque abuse

You can build a WC T5 parts inside a standard T5 case but cost is normally not worth it

Output shaft I believe changed by application but is mostly standardise to a couple of combinations
