has anyone out there got one of these cheap winches from ebay? one on there is 20, 000lb! whats with that?! i'm just a bit sus because they are so cheap

Sounds like cheap Chinese crap. there have been a million threads about various Chinese cheapo winches, do a search and a bit of reading....

i have had a chinese winch for 8 years and have had good use out of it for the cost, they arent very water proof and the engagement is a little tricky but, for the cost i was very happy

Some of the cheaper winches can be good value, but don't take their claimed line ratings too seriously.
IMO, if you're after a good quality, cheap winch that has good after sales service and support, you can't go past a Tigerz11 unit.
