ls1 tacho
ls1 tacho
just put a LS1 into my GQ but the tacho doesnt work. worked perfectly with the 4.2 carby engine , have hooked up an aftermarket tacho to the pcm and it works but would prefer to use the in dash 1.. any suggestions? does it need a pull up resistor or something?
Re: ls1 tacho
I had to change the tacho head in mine. The output and calibration are both wrong. It may be possible with a VDO step box, or two, to rectify the callibration and the voltage threshhold. Call Lonsdale auto electrical in Dandenong.

Re: ls1 tacho
thanks .. I have vcm suite so i can change the pcm output to calibrate it but that wont help while the needle doesnt move.. figured that seeing a set of points used to run it it shouldnt be too hard to get working..
Re: ls1 tacho
I think the LS1 ecu only outputs at 5v, many tacho's need 9 or more.
