hilux front end , cut or cab ?
Hi guy's , I'm new to the site and was after some help. I had a run in with a wombat then a tree last weekend and need to pretty much replace the whole front end from the firewall forward. it's a 94 dual cab solid axle hilux. The chassis is straight and mechanicaly it's perfect except radiator, will it be easier to do a cab swap or graft another front end on? insurance is also an option i'd just have to pull half the gear off it. Any help would be great thank's
Re: hilux front end , cut or cab ?
dont really know much about cab swaps but i'd say;
if you can get a cab, from the same engine as yours, cheap enough
it would be much easier to cab swap i'd say

standard 93 hilux 2.8D. 33" khumo muds for play
Re: hilux front end , cut or cab ?
any chance of pics of the front end?
you would be suprised what will straighten....
there are a lot of spot welds to unpick the front.
if you would get good coin for the insurance then that may be the option...
recab is easy enough but takes time and it can be hard to find a suitable repalcement.

Re: hilux front end , cut or cab ?
That wombat must have been on stilts for it to hit the body work.
The worst part about being told you have Alzheimer's, is that it doesn't just happen once.
Re: hilux front end , cut or cab ?
the wombat caused me to hit a tree mate.
