hi guys i have a 93 4runner with ifs :l but im looking for more flex and lift ive herd chuck 80 seris coils in the rear and it brings it up 3-4 inches then 4'' rancho5000s also any other ideas and still unsure on the front eventually i want to do a sas conversion but thats a long way a way . thanks
Re: please help me
You could use 80s coils for the rear, but then you will have to bring up the front close to the same, and as far as I know, going more than 2inches with torsion bars can create more dramas.
I think you can do stuff to compensate, but you would have to do a search on the topic.
Take off the front and rear sway bars, will get you a little bit more movement, but nowhere near as much as a SAS would do.

The easiest and cheapest way without spending big bucks on snakeracing bolt on IFS kits would be, 1inch ball joint spacers, wind up torsion bars 2inches, cut bump stops, longer shocks and brake lines.
That should get you 3inch lift at the front.
80 series coils in the rear may be a bit stiff, and are they standard 80 series coils?
Have you ever thought of patrol springs in the rear?
Also you would then need an adjustable panhard rod.

Re: please help me
Hey mate,
Done all this myself on my own truck (92 4runner) at the moment so i have a good idea where your at. have a read of the following link for the rear setup.
http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/viewtopic ... 7#p1929134" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Havent sorted out the drop bracket for the adjustable panhard yet but have trimmed the fuel tank guard which has reduced some rubbing though i do still get it on full flex.
As for the front. I have 2 inch lifted torsion bars, as well as 1.5 inch BJ spacers up the front with the front bump stops cut and longer shocks. Remove both the front and the rear sway bars as well and you should be about as good as you'll get without spending serious dollars. Apparently a front diff drop bracket is a good thing as well, havent fitted one to mine yet and havent had any troubles with cv's etc but thats not to say that it wont have in the future.
Hope this helps.
