r50 rear diff noises.
r50 rear diff noises.
ignoramus posting. I have a solid 'clunk' in the rear diff area only after the vehicle has been driven for about 15km, up to then it's fine. Only when I take off from a standing start at the lights. No diff repairers can positively tell me what it is. cannot afford maybe this, maybe that costings.
Re: r50 rear diff noises.
Gday mate check your rear control arm bushes, mine are shot and i get a clunk going into top gear
If i just overtook you head to your nearest mechanic
Re: r50 rear diff noises.
thanks for the reply ssf, I just replaced both upper and lower bushes and was left with this problem now.
Re: r50 rear diff noises.
Unfortunatly the next step would be to remove axles and take diff centre out
willing to bet your missing several teeth from the crown wheel.
Just had another thought drain the rear diff oil first see if any schrapnel comes out.
