I did a search, but could not find an exact answer on how to fix this.
Hilux is 1985 with 2" cab and 2" suspension. We used axle relocation plates to move the front diff forward 1" to let the 33's clear the guards.
When we installed the relocation plates, they added a few mm's under the springs and pushed the u bolts into the way of the drag link. We just tested a dropped drag link, but it still hits. Any ideas?

I had to bend the j arm slightly up and out, though the first one I done with the oxy and I broke it soon after on the track. I found out later I had to heat it slower and put it in sand to allow it to cool slowly so not to over stress the steel. Was all good after that and is still going.

Forgot to mention you can get flat u bolts but mine still hit, so that's why I went that way.

Piss the relocation plates off and drill the spring perch to suit. One is already done for you, you just have to drill the other. This will solve your problem.

But having said that mine still hit without relocation plates and drilled as above... so i bent the j arm (later went highsteer)

keep in mind its illegal to knowingly bend steering components, and will void your insurance if they find out after an accident.
