Pajero winch

Post by 4runna »

This is a long shot,

has anyone tried fitting a 10,000lb warn onto a Paj?? (mines an NJ)

I can get one for a good price 2nd hand but i've been told they're WAY too big for it.

Yep, too big. Without a custom bar you won't get it in ...

Is the chassis even wide enough to accomodate a 10,000lb winch custom bar or not?

Edit: Do NJ's even have a standard box ladder chassis?

I have a Warn 9000lb low mount in a TJM steel bar and it just fits (a few mm either side).
A 9500lb / 10,000lb would be too big.
I just don't think there would be room between the chassis rails even with a custom bar.
An 8000lb low mount is the recommended size for a lwb Paj but I got the biggest that would fit.
Also replaced the wire cable with synthetic rope, heaps better :D

I fit the huge 8274 high mount on my truck. Sure I hacked my grill to hell... but you can make anything fit.

Hmmm, Thanks guys.

Yeah, the chassis rail width after another look is the part I thought might be a tight squeeze.
Might look round for a smaller one then :(
