3rz cutting out!

hey guys just put a 3rz in my lux, everything connected, if i turn it on with no accelerater it will idol reall ruff for about 2 seconds, if i give it gas i keeps the revs up fine with a bit of back fire, then when i take my foot of the gas it will stall,

took plugs out n cleaned them ect

any other ideas?

Sounds like an air flow meter problem or a leak in the intake pipe from air flow meter to throttle body. But it could be any number of things if this is straight after a conversion.

I second the AFM, mine did exactly what yours is doing when the AFM came unplugged.

Also, if its a new install is the supply for IAC and rocker cover breather plumbed before or after the AFM. All the air needs to be metered.

rocker cover brreather ect is after the air flow meter, thought this was the only way?

maf sensor, fouled plugs from old/dirty fuel, intake hose on wrong side of sensor etc did you use the same maf pipe, if you stuck it in a 3inch pipe for eg you would be drawing alot more air than the motor would think = lean = miss = stall. sick injector, sick coil pack, sick plug lead.

I would be looking at ur intake track though.

And the cam cover breather goes into the throttle body. not before the maf sensor!!!!

And piss the stock ecu off for a whole world of extra torque and then you get to put that POS sensor in the bin.
