dsr highmount manifold or dts low mount?

Post by yota eater »

i just recieved my dsr td42 turbo kit which comes with a highmount cast manifold but i also have a dts or i think MTQ low mount manifold at home and i have the crossover pipe too but looking at them both the ports in the dsr one are a fair bit smaller than the dts one and the dts is alot heavier.. im trying to decide which one to use as i have the dts crossover too? i thought the highmount would be easier to pipe but any info on wich on would be better would be helpful, thanks

[broken_record] Have you done a search? [/broken_record]

Without being an arse or starting a sh1tfight, the highmount/lowmount question has been covered many, many times.

Here's a start for you:

http://outerlimits4x4.com/ol3/viewtopic ... =highmount" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Do an advanced search for keywords like "highmount" or "lowmount" in the Nissan section, and you'll find an absolute STACK of threads answering you question. You'll probably find even more in General Tech.

The short answer is basically there is no "better" configuration, however each type of manifold has its pros and cons. It just whatever tickles your fancy for your truck setup.
