hey all,the bloke over the road bought my dads mq/mk sd33t the other week. When we got it home it wouldnt start cold unless jumping a wire quickly from the battery to glow rail.Turns out there was a faulty connection at the battery(red and white wire) was just taped onto battery terminal so i crimped some new ends on and it seemed great for a week.was firing straight up,minimal smoke etc
Yesterday he mentioned it blowing a heap on startup and then This morning he mentioned having trouble getting it to start, had to try and try again and when it finally did produced a massive cloud of white smoke and runs a little rough. Is it sounding like a glow plug issue or his mate mentioned leaky injectors etc??
i havent had a chance to put a multimeter on the glow rail to check its getting full power to it BUT seeing as tho he tipped it over today on his first fourby trip and caused a few major issues i guess he has a few other jobs too.
any help would be great thankyou

Re: white smoke on startup?
I think you've answered your own question there mate. He probably does have a glow plug or even power supply issue and the injectors may be in need of a service but unlikely. Best test the resistance of the GPs to rule them out and work back from there.
Don't take life too seriously...it isn't permanent.
Re: white smoke on startup?
cheers mate as i said above havent been able to check them yet but i was leaning towards glow plug issue of some sort but he wont listen to me since his mate mentioned fuel problems.
