want some advice on jimny suspension
want some advice on jimny suspension
im looking to beef up my suspension a lil bit..my bushings seems to be going through cuz at higher speeds on the highway my back end pulls a lil bit and my stearing wheel shimmers and it sometimes pulls either left or right, so i believe its bushings..however im going to order a polyurethane kit from superpro to replace all the bushings and hopefully eliminate my problem...also i would like to know if anyone has ever used or think purchasing a toughdog return to centre would also aid in my stearing wheel shimmering problem?? ive tried a few things in the past such as new rims and tires and it has significantly helped in reducing the shim..also ive speed balanced and did some alingment work and that also help abit aswell...however its still there..mostly when i reach up to 65-70ks..so i would like to know if replacing all the bushings with urethane and installing an RTC would solve my problem? btw its a 1998-2002 JLX hard top model, auto tranny.. anyhelp and advice would be greatly appreciated. and also any tips on what i can do to stiffen up my suspension and improve handling..( ps. i do not want any lift kit, i wanna keep my stock height and work from there)... currently running 16'' konig wheels with BFGoodrich 50 series tires...hope all that information helps..thanks
Re: want some advice on jimny suspension
the rtc will just mask the problem, and it will wear out quicker from the shimmy too

Re: want some advice on jimny suspension
go right over the front and back end and check everything from bushes, wheelbearings, king pins, tie rods and all other parts
if they all seam ok take it in for a balance and alignment
