3.4ltr swap
I have a 94 3ltr v6 4runner and have been told to put a 3.4 litre prado engine in and it would give me heaps of power.Has anybody done this Is it a straight swop or what is in volved any infomotion would be much great thanks.
Re: 3.4ltr swap
The 3VZ and 5VZ share the same block so it is a bolt in affair, the ECU and wiring is different so thats the hardest part.
It will giv u more power but not heaps of power, the 5VZ is good for about 134kw at the flywheel stock. The main benefit is ther is bolt on TRD gear available for this engine and a big aftermarket following in the states so it can make heaps of power with a few more dollars spent.

Re: 3.4ltr swap
Thanks mate, much appreciated. I was thinking about bolting on a supercharger or is there something better with little stuffing around.
Re: 3.4ltr swap
The trd kit will give a 55% gain straight up with a 7psi pulley. install is easy and ther a great instructions. Im thinkin of grabbing one while the dollar is good. If u fit a 7th injector kit and sum good headers also it will have buckets more power/torque.
