shorty driveline vibrations

Post by dizzle »

Hi all. Just done a 3inch lift on my 89 shorty. got some annoying tailshaft vibrations going on. Now... bought adjustable upper arms from superior and also a gearbox spacer from ARB. Adjusted my angles pretty well spot on (angle of output shaft on transfer same as pinion angle) but still seem to get some vibrations. Was just wondering how well other fellas get there trucks driving using this method? Cheers

i just put 5 inch springs in my shorty and as u all could imagine had rediculous virations in the drive line i tried everything to get it even driving in the end i got a second hand dc shaft which fixed the problem strait away although with a 5 inch lift i had to rotate the diff which u would not have to do hope that helps a lil

I put a 3"-3.5" lift in my shorty and run drop boxes and 16mm longer lower arms which fixed my vibration completely.
